CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS
The City of Minneapolis is one of the “Twin Cities” and the largest Metropolitan area in Minnesota. Minneapolis translated means “City of Lakes” so named for the more than 20 lakes located within its boundaries. The city lakes are indeed popular whether it is with the homeowners lucky enough to live with a view to the thousands of people walking, jogging, biking or pushing strollers around them. The city is undergoing constant revitalization in many areas. The Mississippi riverfront has been cleaned up, walking trails, restaurants, theaters and townhomes now enhance the appeal of this area. The old warehouse district is now home to some of the finest restaurants and nightclubs in the city. The city is served by a light rail system connecting the airport, Mall of America and the downtown area. You will want to explore the Grand Rounds a more than 50 mile National Scenic Byway. Parks, Recreation and Entertainment
It has been said that the parks in Minneapolis are the very best in the nation. The city operates and maintains 150 parks and 49 year round neighborhood recreation centers. Youth programs are second to none with nearly every sport available.
The Twin Cities are home to many major professional sports teams: the Minnesota Twins baseball, the Minnesota Vikings football, Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball, the Minnesota Wild hockey and the Minnesota Thunder soccer. In addition to the professional sports, the University of Minnesota Gophers as well as the many smaller college and university programs provide the community with non-stop sports action.

Minneapolis Housing
It is hard to discuss housing in Minneapolis in general terms as nearly every style and price range is available. The local multiple listing service divides the city into 11 different areas with another 13 areas identified in neighboring St. Paul. We find that most people will end up narrowing their search for a home to a couple different areas that will best match their criteria. In addition to the Twin Cities themselves, you will find many suburbs from which to choose.
